Osaka Castle Triathlon 2018

Registration is now closed!

This registration is for all foreign nationals regardless of residency and Japanese nationals who reside outside of Japan. If you are Japanese and reside in Japan, click here.

All foreign resident participants must have a one-day Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) 2018 membership (1,000 JPY). Obtaining this one-day membership is part of the registration process.

Please read the following carefully.

Requirements for all Standard Distance participants:
  • All Standard Distance participants must be 18 or older as of December 31, 2018.
  • All athletes must complete the on-site Check-In procedure by Check-In close on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
  • All athletes are required to attend one of the on-site Race Briefings on Saturday, June 9 2018.
  • All athletes must have a valid 2018 Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) membership. Participants residing outside of Japan without a valid 2018 JTU membership are required to obtain a one-day JTU membership.
  • All athletes must be able to finish each category (Swim, Bike and Run) within cutoff times. *Cutoff times for Standard Distance: Start to swim finish is 45 min. Start to bike finish is 2 hrs 30 min. Start to run finish is 3 hrs 40 min.
Requirements for all Sprint distance participants:
  • All Sprint Distance participants must be 15 or older as of December 31, 2018.
  • All athletes must complete the on-site Check-In procedure by Check-In close on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
  • All athletes are required to attend one of the on-site Race Briefings on Saturday, June 9 2018.
  • All athletes must have a valid 2018 Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) membership. Participants residing outside of Japan without a valid 2018 JTU membership are required to obtain a one-day JTU membership.
  • All athletes must be able to finish each category (Swim, Bike and Run) within cutoff times. *Cutoff times for Sprint Distance : Start to swim finish is 25 min. Start to bike finish is 1 hrs 20 min. Start to run finish is 2 hrs.

Random Draw Results for those who registered in the first period (February 24 to March 25).
The result will be announced by April 5, 2018, at 11:59 PM by email.
Friday May 4, 2018
Random Draw Results for those who registered in the second period (March 26 to April 30).
The results will be announced by May 4, 2018, at 11:59 PM by email.
Friday April 13th, 2018
Payment Deadline for those who registered in the first period (February 24 to March 25).
The winners MUST complete payment in order to be officially registered in the race. This MUST be completed by Friday April 13, 2018, at 11:59 PM. There are NO EXCUSES and NO EXCEPTIONS for this deadline.
Thursday May 10th, 2018
Payment Deadline for those who registered in the second registration period (March 26 to April 30).
The winners MUST complete payment in order to be officially registered in the race. This MUST be completed by Thursday May 10th, 2018, at 11:59 PM. There are NO EXCUSES and NO EXCEPTIONS for this deadline.

There are two registration periods.

  • The first period : February 24, 2018 to March 25, 2018
  • The second period : March 26, 2018 to April 30, 2018

All prices above include race entry fee, JTU one-day membership, handling and online processing fees.
*1 Youth 15 – 17 (age as of 31 Dec 2018)

JTU Membership:

If you reside in Japan, regardless of your nationality, you MUST have a valid annual membership from the Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) and use the registration form for Japanese residents (this form is only available in Japanese).

Refund Policy:

In the case of an athlete’s cancellation for personal reasons, no refund of registration fees will be granted. Additionally, no refunds will be granted in the case where the organizer is forced to terminate the event due to causes beyond its reasonable control such as fire, storm, flood or earthquake, war (declared or not), rebellion, riot, strike or lockout, any inevitable accidents, or plague.

Transfer Policy:

Transferring your race number is not allowed. Participants will be disqualified for transferring a race number to another athlete or using a race number from another athlete who is not competing.
